  announce that the 1st Hawaii Mini-Symposium of the US-Japan Science and T
 echnology Cooperation Program in High Energy Physics will be held virtuall
 y on April 21-23\, 2021. This symposium is co-hosted by KEK and University
  of Hawaii and sponsored by DOE.\n\n \n\nThe US-Japan Science and Technol
 ogy Cooperation Program in High Energy Physics was started in 1979 under t
 he Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Government of the Uni
 ted States of America on Cooperation in Research and Development in Scienc
 e and Technology\, aiming to promote joint research and development in Hig
 h Energy Physics. \n\n \n\nIn 2019\, it celebrated its 40th anniversary a
 nd a symposium was held in Hawaii\, which gave us an idea to launch this m
 ini-Hawaii-symposium series to encourage the collaboration further and fos
 ter young scientists.\n\n \n\nThe annual meeting of the US-Japan Joint Co
 mmittee will be held following the Mini-Symposium.\n\n \n\nThe Local Orga
