DESCRIPTION:This year marks the 50th anniversary of KEK\, established in 1
 971 as the first inter-university research institute with the idea of esta
 blishing large-scale research facilities that would not be owned by a sing
 le university but would allow university researchers from all over Japan t
 o use them collaboratively and achieve exciting results. Since its establ
 ishment\, KEK has been developing\, building\, and operating state-of-the-
 art accelerators\, and has also played an important role as an internation
 al center of excellence in the field of accelerator science. KEK provides 
 important research and collaboration opportunities for researchers both in
  Japan and abroad and in academia and industry. These opportunities conti
 nue to significantly advance the frontiers of science and technology.\n\n
 We would like to take this opportunity to celebrate KEK’s 50th anniversa
 ry by gathering both in person and online\, to look back on its history 
 and to discuss the achievements and outstanding results of 50 years of res
 earch and the future direction of science for KEK and its collaborators.\n
 \nThe symposium is open to everyone\, and there is no registration fee. P
 lease note that only speakers and invited guests will be able to attend in
  person. However\, we sincerely look forward to hosting all other attendee
