The International Iwate Collider School (ICS2022) will be held in a ski resort, "Hotel Appi Grand" near Morioka in Iwate, Japan from March 21 to 26, 2022. The school is organized as an edition of the KEK-IINAS school series, and hosted by Iwate University. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the school will be held in a hybrid form.
During the school, students will learn a variety of topics in collider physics via lectures in the morning and tutorials for event simulation in the afternoon. Long lunch break for skiing and discussions are planned. We have invited experts in collider physics around the world as lecturers:
Rikkert Frederix (Lund, Sweden)
Benjamin Fuks (Paris, France)
Fabio Maltoni (Louvain, Belgium)
Olivier Mattelaer (Louvain, Belgium)
Marco Zaro (Milan, Italy) etc.
Thanks to the support by KEK-IINAS, Iwate U., JSPS grant and Iwate Prefecture International Linear Collider Promotion Council, there will be no registration fee, and local expenses can be supported.
We look forward to hosting the new generation of young researches who will play a central role in particle physics in the coming future!
