DESCRIPTION:KEK Theory Workshop is an annual workshop on string theory and
quantum field theory. Since KEK Theory Workshop 2014\, it has been held
as an international workshop. Speakers are invited from abroad as well as
from Japan\, and all talks are given in English.\n\nWe hope the workshop
provides a valuable opportunity to have active discussions and inspirati
on on various fundamental problems in theoretical physics related to super
strings\, supersymmetric gauge theories\, black hole physics\, quantum fie
ld theories\, condensed matter physics\, and so on.\n\nThis year\, in the
light of COVID-19\, we have decided to hold the workshop ONLINE from Dec
. 7 (Wed.) to Dec. 9 (Fri.) in JST (UTC+9). Each day\, we will put a spe
cial emphasis on a topic that attracts great interest these days. The topi
cs and invited speakers are:\n\n\n	Dec. 7 (Wed.): Non-invertible symmetrie
 s\n\n	\n Yuya Tanizaki (YITP) [Introductory talk]\n Kantaro Ohmori (U. o
 f Tokyo)\n Satoshi Yamaguchi (Osaka U.)\n	\n	\n	Dec. 8 (Thu.): New approa
ches to overcome the sign problem in numerical methods\n	\n Masafumi Fuk
uma (Kyoto U.) [Introductory talk]\n Daisuke Kadoh (Doshisha U.)\n Jun N
ishimura (KEK)\n	\n	\n	Dec. 9 (Fri.): Quantum aspects of gravity and black
holes\n	\n Suvrat Raju (ICTS) [Introductory talk]\n Masahiro Hotta (Toh
oku U.)\n Robert Wald (U. of Chicago)\n	\n \n	Afternoon of all days: St
ring model building without supersymmetry\n	\n Alon Faraggi (U. of Liverp
ool) [Introductory talk] ― Dec. 7 (Wed.) 16:30 -\n Hervé Partouche (Ec
 ole Polytech.) ― Dec. 8 (Thu.) 17:00 -\n Yuji Sugawara (Ritsumeikan U.)
  ― Dec. 9 (Fri.) 13:00 -\n	\n \n\n\nWe will also have short talks wit
h (15+5) minutes. Participants can apply for the talk at the registration.
The topics to be discussed in the short talks can be chosen from field th
eory and string theory\, and need not be related to the topic of the inv
ited talks. If there are too many applicants\, we will have to make some s
election. Some of the talks may be given in parallel sessions. \n\nRegist
ration deadline\n\nThose who wish to apply for a short talk: Nov. 1 (Tue.
)\nOther participants: Nov. 30 (Wed.)\n\nThe registration will be closed w
hen the number of the applicants exceeds 300\, which is the capacity of ou
r Zoom meeting room.\n\nNOTE: We will use the virtual meeting rooms on Zoo
 m. The necessary information (links\, IDs\, and passcodes) will be sent to
the participants by E-mail before the workshop starts.\n\n \n\nWe are lo
 oking forward to your participation.\n\n \n\nOrganizers:\nYuta Hamada\, K
 ohta Hatakeyama\, Machiko Hatsuda\, Yoshimasa Hidaka\, Satoshi Iso\, Yosh
 ihisa Kitazawa\, Gregory Joseph Loges\, Kohtaroh Miura\, Shun'ya Mizoguch
