DESCRIPTION:KEK Theory Workshop is an annual workshop on string theory and
quantum field theory. Since KEK Theory Workshop 2014\, it has been held
as an international workshop. Speakers are invited from abroad as well as
from Japan\, and all talks are given in English. This year we aim to provi
de a valuable opportunity to have extensive discussions on new development
s in tensor networks\, quantum information and quantum computing from the
viewpoint of particle physics\, quantum gravity and condensed matter physi
cs applications. The invited speakers are selected from various research f
ields\, and we have asked them to give a pedagogical exposition of the big
picture in their own research field with the right amount of technical de
tails\, which are useful in building up a comprehensive understanding of t
he notions and their mutual relationship. The workshop will be ON-SITE at K
 EK Tsukuba Campus on December 11 (Wed.) -- 13 (Fri.)\, 2024\, without on-l
ine attendance. Please visit K03 Building.Invited SpeakersDec.11 (Wed)- Sh
inji Takeda (Kanazawa University)    Tensor renormalization group and ap
plication to elementary particle physics- Tsuyoshi Okubo (The University o
f Tokyo)    Recent progress in tensor network approaches for condensed m
atter physics- Hiroki Ohata (KEK)    Bosonization revisited: application
to the sign problem and lattice chiral fermionDec.12 (Thu)- Yutaro Akahos

as Conceptual and Computational Tools for Statistical PhysicsShort TalksWe
will arrange short talk sessions on more diverse topics\, for which parti
cipants can apply. If there are too many applicants\, we will have to make
  some selection.Workshop RegistrationRegistration Deadline: Oct. 26 (Sat)\
, 2024.Please indicate your requests for: financial support\, VISA\, banqu
