DESCRIPTION:KEK Theory Workshop is an annual workshop on string theory and
quantum field theory. Since KEK Theory Workshop 2014\, it has been held
as an international workshop. This year we aim to provide a valuable oppor
tunity to have extensive discussions on new developments in string theory\
 , matrix models\, the gauge-gravity duality\, black-hole microstates\, lat
tice construction of chiral gauge theories\, and open quantum systems. The
invited speakers are selected from various research fields\, and we have
asked them to give a pedagogical exposition of the big picture in their ow
n research field with the right amount of technical details\, which are us
eful in building up a comprehensive understanding of the notions and their
mutual relationship.\nThe workshop will be ON-SITE at KEK Tsukuba Campus
  on November 25 (Wed.) – 27 (Fri.)\, 2026\, without online attendance. P
lease visit K03 Building.\nThis workshop is jointly organized by the KEK
Theory Center and RIKEN iTHEMS\, with generous financial support from RIKE
 N iTHEMS.  \n\n \n \n\n \n \nList of invited speakers and tentative t
itles:\n\nHirotaka Hayashi (Tokai University) \n\n "6d/5d gauge theories
from web diagrams"\n\nHikaru Kawai (Osaka Metropolitan University)\n\n "
Emergence of space-time and matter from matrix model"\n\nTakato Mori (Rikk
yo University)\n\n "Information theoretic approaches to closed universe"\
n\nMasaya Nakagawa (The University of Tokyo)\n\n "Open quantum systems: F
rom many-body physics to feedback control"\n\nMasaki Shigemori (Nagoya Uni
versity)\n\n "Microstates of black holes and of whatnot"\n\nTadashi Takay
anagi (YITP\, Kyoto University)\n\n "New de Sitter space holography from
 time-like entanglement"\n\nNorihiro Tanahashi (Kyoto University)\n\n "Opt
imal transport\, holography and quantum chaos"\n\nTatsuya Yamaoka (The Uni
versity of Osaka)\n\n "Advances in Hamiltonian lattice theory for realizi
ng chiral gauge theories" \nShort Talks:\nWe will arrange short talk sess
ions on more diverse topics\, for which participants can apply. If there
are too many applicants\, we will have to make a selection. \n→ Worksho
 p Registration\nRegistration Deadline: October 16 (Friday)\, 2026\n\nDurin
g registration\, please indicate whether you would like to request financi
al support\, require VISA assistance\, attend the banquet\, or give a shor
t talk. \nThere is no registration fee. However\, we will collect 500 JP
Y per participant for coffee and snacks. \nThe banquet will be held on th
e evening of the first day (November 25) at KEK\, in the lounge in front o
f Kobayashi Hall. The banquet fee is 3\,000 JPY for students and 5\,000 JP
 Y for faculty\, staff\, and postdocs.\n\nNotice:\n\nAccommodation: KEK dor
mitory slots are limited.   \nWe have a limited budget to support domest
ic travel expenses within Japan\, primarily for young participants. Unlike
in previous years\, however\, due to changes in KEK policy\, travel suppo
rt is available only to participants who will give a talk at the workshop.
If we receive more applications than we can support\, we may need to mak
e a selection. \n\nScam Email Warning:\nPlease be aware of potential scam
s claiming to make housing reservations on your behalf. We were made awar
e of some participants receiving such messages from "Conferences@reservati
onsmanagement.org" or similar addresses. Please ignore such emails and do
not reply\, do not click shared links\, and do not provide your credit car
d information. \nOrganizers:\nChien-Yu Chou (RIKEN iTHEMS)Yuta Hamada (KE
