O(α') corrections in 10D heterotic supergravity are known to give nontrivial contributions compared to its type IIA/IIB counterparts. By using a conformal factor ansatz that is valid only for geometries of 2 complex (4 real) dimensions, we obtained a closed expression for the metric correction in the case of several orbifold limits of K3, namely T^4/Z_n where n=2,3,4,6. Furthermore, we numerically investigated the behaviour around these orbifold fixed points by considering the metric correction on the resolution of a C^2/Z_2 singularity. It was demonstrated that in the blow-down limit of the resolution, we regain the same behaviour as given by the closed form expression for the orbifold limits of K3, showing that the numerical results are valid. Further prospects of utilising these O(α') corrected metric as a novel approach in obtaining realistic or semi-realistic Yukawa couplings are considered.
