“STXM Analysis of Carbon Distribution in Fuel Cell Catalyst Layers”
Catalyst layers in fuel cells are investigated using scanning transmission X-ray microscopy (STXM) with micro-focused soft X-ray beam. Measurements are performed around the carbon K-edge to spatially resolve and analyze the chemical state of carbon, which shows a heterogeneous distribution throughout the sample.
