X-ray phase-contrast imaging is a powerful technique for observing various samples, offering much higher sensitivity than conventional absorption-contrast imaging. In this practical session, students will explore one of its key methods—analyzer-based imaging (ABI)—and learn how to separate refraction-contrast (differential phase contrast) from absorption-contrast. If time permits, they will also learn how to obtain 3D phase-contrast images using computed tomography (CT).
