QUPosium2022

We are delighted to announce that the 1st International Symposium on Quantum-field Measurement Systems for Studies of the Universe, Particles, and Other Applications (QUPosium2022) will be held in Tsukuba, Japan, from December 12th to 15th, 2022. The science program will start in the morning of December 13th. The registration desk will open in the afternoon of December 12th, with welcome drink and light snack.

Scope of the symposium

QUPosium2022 aims to bring together researchers in particle physics, astrophysics, condensed matter physics, measurement science, and systems science.

The symposium will be a place to share the most exciting topics in these fields, discover overlaps in methodologies, and discuss how we can integrate our efforts for producing new academic and social values.

Keynote speakers will introduce big questions and methods to address them in their research areas.

Invited talks will cover some cutting-edge research results and new directions.

We also plan to have a session for QUP's inauguration and another to introduce research activities/plans at QUP.

This symposium is open to researchers and students in related fields. There is no registration fee, but registration is required beginning September 1 (banquet participation is charged).

Participants are encouraged to present posters of their own research. Posters will be displayed around the conference venue throughout the conference and will be accessible from the timetable web page.

About QUP

QUPosium2022 is hosted by the International Center for Quantum-field Measurement Systems for Studies of the Universe and Particles (QUP.) QUP was newly founded as a center at KEK in December 2021.

It is the 14th World Premier International Research Center Initiative (WPI,) promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT.) QUP's goal is to establish "quantum field measurement systemology.”

To this end, QUP will invent and develop new systems for measuring quantum fields, bring innovation in cosmological observations and particle experiments, and discover the true nature of space-time and matter.

It will also cultivate applications to various academic fields and social implementation.
