BRIDGE 2025, the second circular

 

The bilateral workshop on Bridging Research Innovations in Diverse muon and neutron science by GEneral collaboration between Japan and Switzerland will be organized at the Yayoi auditorium, University of Tokyo, on October 20-22, 2025.

* Registration

Registration will be closed on September 15. If you wish to make any changes, please modify the registration before September 15.

* Meeting agenda

The meeting consists of plenary sessions with presentations and discussions, a parallel session for topical discussions, and poster sessions. We expect in-person participation except for special occasions. All talks are by invitation. A one-day tour of the J-PARC facilities is planned on the second day (October 21). The workshop dinner will be in Tokyo on the evening of October 21. The agenda of the meeting will be posted in a few days. * Poster presentation

Participants are encouraged to display a poster in the poster session on the evening of the first day (October 20). The panels for the A0-size posters are prepared. To reserve a space for your poster, we kindly ask you to register the poster contribution at the poster registration page(https://conference-indico.kek.jp/event/321/registrations/325/) by September 21. 

 

* Venue and accommodations

The venue of the workshop has been changed from the Fukutake hall to the Yayoi auditorium in the University of Tokyo, Hongo campus. Access information will be posted on the workshop website. We kindly ask all participants to make their own accommodation arrangements. We are more than happy to provide assistance if you have any questions or need any special arrangements.

 

* J-PARC site tour

A tour to J-PARC is planned for the second day (October 21) by chartered bus, as J-PARC is located approximately 100 km north of the venue (University of Tokyo). The bus will depart from the University of Tokyo in the morning, arrive at J-PARC before noon, and then visit the Materials and Life Science Facility and the Hadron Facility. It will depart from J-PARC in the late afternoon and return to the reception venue. Lunch will be distributed at J-PARC on the day. Please remember to take your passport (for foreigners) and photo ID (for Japanese) to enter the J-PARC site. Registration fees We will collect registration fees from domestic participants. Details will be announced separately.

 

* Satellite events

There are two satellite events organized after the BRIDGE workshop.

 

(1) A satellite event for early-career researchers will be held on Thursday, October 23rd, and Friday, October 24th at the KEK Tsukuba Campus. This event aims to foster networking among early-career researchers from both Switzerland and Japan.

The timetable is as follows;

* October 23 (afternoon): Visit to scientific institutions in Tsukuba City

* October 23 (evening): Poster session with snacks at KEK Tsukuba Campus (Poster in main BRIDGE workshop may be reused)

* (Accommodation will be provided at the KEK Tsukuba dormitory)

* October 24 (morning): Tour of KEK facilities (SuperKEKB, Belle II, etc.

If you would like to participate, please register through the main BRIDGE Workshop registration form. Further details will be announced later to registered participants and will also be posted on the workshop web page.

 

(2) A mini-workshop for further discussions on neutron developments (Mini-workshop on Neutron Instrumentation (tentative)) will be held on Thursday, October 23, at the MLF in J-PARC, Tokai. The purpose is to share experiences in neutron developments and to find seeds of future collaborations between neutron facilities in Switzerland and Japan. It will consist of talks, discussions, and a guided tour at MLF. Registration is required. We will announce registration information late.
