Getting to Fukuoka

Fukuoka Airport (FUK) is directly connected to the Fukuoka City Subway and is only a few minutes from the city center. Hakata Station, the main railway hub in Fukuoka, is served by the Shinkansen (bullet train) and provides convenient access to major cities throughout Japan. The subway connects Fukuoka Airport, Hakata Station, and the downtown area.

Fukuoka Airport (FUK)

Fukuoka Airport has both domestic and international terminals. Frequent domestic flights connect Fukuoka with Tokyo Haneda (HND), while a smaller number of flights operate to and from Tokyo Narita (NRT). The airport subway station is located at the domestic terminal. A free shuttle bus operates between the international and domestic terminals. Please refer to the airport map for details.

Hakata Station

This station is the main station in this area. In Fukuoka City Subway, the airport station is 2 stops away from the main station. Kyushu Japan Railway Company and West Japan Railway Company co-operate the super-express train ("Shinkansen"), connecting the station to the broad area in Japan. Here is the station map.
