Getting to Sendai
By Air
The nearest airport is Sendai Airport (SDJ). It is connected to major domestic airports in Japan and selected international destinations. From Sendai Airport:
- Take the Sendai Airport Access Line to Sendai Station.
- Travel time is approximately 25 minutes.
By Shinkansen
From Tokyo Station:
- Take the Tohoku Shinkansen from Tokyo Station
- Travel time: approx. 90 minutes
- Arrival station: Sendai Station
Access to the Conference Venue
Take the Sendai Subway Tozai Line from Sendai Station to Aobayama Station, which takes 9 minutes and costs 250 yen. Exit via the North 1 Exit and walk toward the Faculty of Science.
Aoba Science Hall is in the Science Complex C (H-04).

Weather
April is one of the most pleasant times of the year in Sendai.
During the workshop period (20-23 April 2027), daytime temperatures typically range from 12°C to 20°C, while temperatures during mornings and evenings may fall to around 5°C to 10°C.
Weather conditions can change rapidly in spring, and occasional rainfall is possible. Participants are advised to bring a light jacket or sweater for cooler mornings and evenings.
