Hiroshima is the first place where the atomic bomb was used durig World War II. Hiroshima peace memorial park is one of the ideal place to consider our future on international relation, science, and technology. The atomic bomb memorial dome was originally constructed as exhibition hall for local products, but it is famous as only the structure which was not completely destroyed by the atomic bomb in near of the ground zero. The structure is preserved to show the destructive power of the bomb.
Itsukushima shrine was built more than 1000 years ago in Miyajima island. It was the place to pray for safety of marine traffic in Setouchi Sea. Lately, the shrine became the patron god of Heike family, which was a Samurai sect ruling the Japan island in 12th century. The Torii gate (entrance gate of Japanese shrine) is placed in the sea and the official visit to Shrine will be made by a boat.
