The 7th Neutron and Muon School provides lectures and practical training for newcomers to neutron and muon beam research from across the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, materials science and more. The lectures cover most of the basic neutron and muon methodologies applied to material research. In the practical hands-on training, participants will experience actual experiments and data analyses on neutron and muon instruments at J-PARC MLF and JRR-3 with experienced staff.
The school will be held in a hybrid style, with lectures online and on-site and hands-on training on-site.
The school aims at graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and early-career researchers who are interested in but have limited or no experience with neutron and muon beam-based techniques.
