Description

GRAMS (Gamma-Ray and AntiMatter Survey) is a proposed balloon/satellite mission that will be the first to target both MeV gamma-ray observations and antimatter-based indirect dark matter searches with a LArTPC (Liquid Argon Time Projection Chamber) detector. As a milestone for GRAMS, we have conducted an engineering balloon experiment at JAXA’s Taiki aerospace research field. Furthermore, we will conduct verification tests for the particle - antiparticle identification method through the J-PARC T98 experiment and demonstration tests with a prototype LArTPC Compton camera. This talk will give an overview of these experiments, the current status and future plans.
