13th International Workshop on Neutrino Beams and Instrumentation (NBI2024)

Asia/Tokyo
AYA'S LABORATORY Quantum Beam Research Center (AQBRC)

AYA'S LABORATORY Quantum Beam Research Center (AQBRC)

Description

NBI2024 will be held at AYA'S LABORATORY Quantum Beam Research Center (AQBRC) in Tokai-village, Ibaraki, Japan from October 7th to 10th. AQBRC is located just near J-PARC.

This is a unique opportunity for physicists and engineers working on high-intensity neutrino beam facilities, as well as other similar particle physics target facilities, to meet together, sharing mutual knowledge, operational experience, and plans to realize Mega-Watt-class beam power facilities.

In this workshop, the following topics will be covered:

  • Current and future neutrino beam facilities (including other facilities)
  • Primary proton beamline
  • Secondary beamline
  • Target and beam window
  • Magnetic horns
  • Beam instrumentation
  • Radiological and safety issues
  • Remote maintenance of highly-irradiated equipment
  • Hadron production, neutrino flux prediction, and simulation-related things

The sessions will be basically organized with invited talks. However, we will call for abstracts for contributed talks. Any new ideas for future high power facilities are highly appreciated.
