Description
Quantum reference frames (QRFs) provide a relational description of time and observables in quantum gravity. Unlike asymptotically AdS spacetimes, de Sitter (dS) spacetime lacks a natural temporal reference system associated with an asymptotic spatial boundary. Chandrasekaran, Longo, Penington, and Witten (CLPW) address this by explicitly introducing physical observer degrees of freedom as an additional ingredient. We propose that these degrees of freedom can instead be constructed intrinsically through dS/CFT holography, with the dual conformal field theory supplying the QRF. In this proposal, the observer is built into the holographic description itself, rather than supplied through a separately postulated observer sector.
