Multi-national Partnership Laboratory (“MNPL”) is a new framework which KEK has established in 2016 to promote its international collaborative research projects conducted or to be conducted at KEK more actively and effectively by utilizing its state-of-the-art accelerators and related facilities.

We have adopted the following three projects and supported so far:

Project No. Project Name Project Manager Participating Institute
MNPP-01 "R&D for high luminosity colliders" (SuperKEKB) (Link) Makoto Tobiyama, Professor/Head of Accelerator Division Ⅳ, ACCL KEK, CERN, LAL, SLAC, IHEP

"Novel superconducting magnet technologies towards the applications in future high-intensity accelerators"

We held an International Workshop on Advanced Superconducting Materials and Magnets (Link).

Toru Ogitsu, Professor/Head of Cryogenics Science Center KEK, TRIUMF, CERN, Robinson Research Institute Victoria Univ. of Wellington, Kyoto Univ.
MNPP-03 "R&D for X-ray and γ-ray source based on Inverse Compton scattering and for Dielectric Wake-field Acceleration Structures & Radiation Mechanism" using LUCX Facility Alexander Aryshev, Assistant Professor, ACCL KEK, LAL, TPU, MEPhI, Waseda Univ., Hiroshima Univ.
